Bunker Blake · Founder

I’ve worked inside the firms Concorde is built to advise.

My career has spanned investment strategy, institutional capital formation, enterprise technology, reporting, and firm operations. That range helps me see the full system, translate across teams, and build solutions that hold up under real operating pressure.

The common pattern

Capital, clients, technology, and execution.

I founded Concorde around a pattern I saw repeatedly: sophisticated firms often have the expertise they need, but their strategy, systems, data, communication, and execution can drift apart. My work has consistently been to reconnect those pieces.

“The value is translation: between investment specialists and clients, between business goals and technical systems, and between a strategic decision and the daily work required to make it real.”
2007–2013

UBS · Blackstone

Learning the investment business from the inside

My foundation was built in Chicago through futures at the Board of Trade, wealth management at Merrill Lynch, and fixed income distribution and advisor support at UBS. I then joined Blackstone’s hedge fund solutions business. The work moved quickly from portfolio communication to institutional reporting, client coverage, risk technology, product strategy, and strategic partnerships. It taught me the standards sophisticated investors expect: accuracy, preparation, judgment, and command of detail.

2014–2018

New York Life Investments · Private Advisors · MacKay Shields

Connecting capital formation, products, and platforms

At New York Life’s alternatives businesses, I worked across fundraising, investor materials, diligence, analytics, and platform strategy. I led a $250 million secondaries raise, supported private equity and hedge fund strategies, and coordinated investment, legal, compliance, distribution, and data teams. The experience showed me how institutional growth depends on the system around the investment product.

2018–2022

Addepar · Morgan Stanley

Bridging enterprise technology and investment decisions

At Addepar, I translated the needs of family offices and institutional investors into analytics, reporting workflows, platform configurations, and user training. At Morgan Stanley, I managed complex diligence and investor-data work across a roughly $20 billion private equity platform. Together, those roles deepened my ability to connect data architecture, client experience, and investment communication.

Turning client insight into firm architecture

At a boutique wealth-technology consultancy, I led client strategy and built the internal architecture behind it: segmentation, pricing, service levels, reporting, retention, workflows, and playbooks. That experience brought the full career arc together and became the clearest foundation for Concorde Strategy Partners.

Why the range matters

Senior judgment with operator-level detail.

01

Investment fluency

Experience across private equity, hedge funds, fixed income, family offices, and institutional portfolios supports faster, more substantive conversations.

02

Systems thinking

A decision is only as useful as the reporting, ownership, workflows, data, and incentives that carry it into daily execution.

03

Cross-functional translation

I’m comfortable moving among investment teams, clients, executives, operators, technologists, legal partners, and external consultants.

04

Commercial discipline

Client strategy stays connected to pricing, service levels, retention, resource allocation, and the economics of sustainable growth.

The Concorde advantage

A partner who understands the investment and the institution.

Concorde brings institutional standards, technology fluency, and a practical operating mindset to the priorities that sophisticated firms need to move forward.
